The Slowest Animal

Once upon a time, all animals lived in peace and harmony in the animal kingdom. They worked and played together in the spirit of camaraderie.
One day, they decided to play a friendly football match.
On the appointed day, the two teams, Team A and B met on the football field, waiting eagerly for the game to start. Before starting the game, Referee Rat counted the number of players and found out that a player from Team B was missing.
" Who is missing and where is he? " Referee Rat squeaked.
" I saw Millipede in the changing room before I left, " said Tortise.
" Let me go and find out what has happened to him, " said Rabbit as he sauntered off to find out what was keeping Millipede.
After some time, Rabbit came back.
" Where is Millipede and what is keeping him? " the animals asked, concerned.
" He asked me to tell you guys to wait a little longer, " replied Rabbit.
" We have waited long enough. What is he up to? " Referee Rat asked impatiently.
" Oh, he is still tying his boots laces! " said Rabbit.

Those television programmes we watched were always Fairy Tales. What can you think of? I used to watch/read Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel and Gratel, The Three Little Pigs and many many more. They always start off with Once Upon A Time. And would definitely end with And they lived happily ever after. We were all still so naive, troublefree and happy then. Always believing that things would go on smoothly for us, however, as we grow, everyone's right, good things dont last.
